The Business Simulation
Zodiak is a four- to five-hour classroom business simulation that quickly immerses participants in the world of business. As the new owners of a struggling 40-million-dollar company, participants engage in selling products and services, collecting receivables, tackling problems, investing in new products and fielding shareholders’ questions. Over the period of three game years, participants realize the importance of critical business fundamentals, such as making a profit, generating cash and increasing shareholder value. They also learn how to:

• Invest in the development of new products and services
• Use key financial concepts to manage the business
• Allocate overhead
• Improve processes
• Impact cash flow
• Respond to quality challenges

Connections — Bridging to Your Organization
Connections exercises create a bridge from the classroom simulation to the participants’ organization. During this session the learners explore the following ideas:

• Impacting company’s bottom lime through sales forecasting and price discounting
• Creating customer business and financial profiles in order to better position products and services
• Using business knowledge to build higher-level customer relationships

You can use the exercises provided with the program, or work with Paradigm Learning to customize Connections for an even closer fit with your issues and your audience.
