Zodiak: EVA Organizations is a sophisticated classroom business simulation disguised as a board game. It’s a fast-paced, energizing and engaging way to build the business acumen of your managers, leaders and employees and to drive EVA success.

When EVA®* (Economic Value Added) is a key organizational performance measure, managers and employees must be able to think and act in ways that add to overall value creation.

This Zodiak program will work in any organization using the EVA measure and can be used to develop managers or employees at all levels. And, it is customizable to your unique organizational challenges.

  • How EVA® is calculated and measured
  • The impact that price reduction can have on EVA®
  • The impact that sales and inventory increases have on EVA®
  • How managers and employees can “drive” EVA® success

What you can expect from Zodiak:

  • Managers and Leaders will develop the business acumen necessary to align department, team and personal objectives to EVA success and will make better day-to-day decisions about people, products and processes.
  • Employees will develop the financial literacy and business acumen necessary to understand how EVA® drives corporate decision-making and strategy development. They will also learn how they can impact this key measure of success within their teams, departments and jobs.

The Classroom Experience

First, The Zodiak Simulation

During the first four hours, as they handle chance events, move game pieces, answer to investors and make tough business decisions, learners embrace new insights. Not just about how the numbers work, but about the consequences of business decisions and actions on financial success. That’s true business acumen.

Connections — Bridging to Your Organization

Connections exercises following the simulation create a bridge from the classroom to the participants’ organization. Learners explore company-specific EVA goals and calculations as well as strategies, initiatives and processes to positively impact this critical results measure. It’s here that learners also connect to their own behaviors – the day-to-day decisions and actions that impact the bottom line.

You can use the Connections exercises provided with the program, or work with Paradigm Learning to customize exercises for an even closer fit with your issues and your audience.
